Usage

Opening the page selector

Three ways in:

  • The Malleus button in the Browser toolbar or the editor
  • The keyboard shortcut — Ctrl+Alt+M by default (configurable)
  • Tools → Malleus Find/Add Cards

Finding existing cards

  1. Open the page selector
  2. Enter a search term — results from every database appear together, ranked by relevance
  3. (Optional) Toggle the database filter chips to narrow results to specific databases
  4. Check the relevant pages from the search results
  5. For pages that support subtags, pick the subtag from the chip that appears on each checked row (leave as Main Tag to tag the whole topic)
  6. Click Find Cards to search for existing cards with matching tags

Creating new cards

  1. Follow steps 1–5 above
  2. (Optional) Choose a yield level for the new cards
  3. Click Create Cards to open the Add Cards window
  4. The cards will be pre-filled with the appropriate tags

If you are unsure which subtag to use, leave the row set to Main Tag. You can also open the page selector directly from the Add Cards dialog.

Tip

Tagging many cards in a row at the same yield or subtag? Turn on remember_yield_selection and remember_subtag_selection so your choices stick for the session.
